I am munching on nacho chip now while reading about a mesh pool fence. I was starting to read about it a few minutes ago when I started craving chips. Glad the husband bought a package when he went grocery shopping on Friday afternoon. The three of us actually went grocery shopping in the morning, but we forgot to include some stuff so he went back in the afternoon and brought me a bag of nacho chips as a surprise.
I’m now done satisfying my craving. Three more chips, and I will be done, I guess. I hope! Hehe.

Rice is Nice!
Just like last year, we are going to celebrate Christmas with my husband’s family. We will be at his brother’s on Christmas Eve and next door at his stepson’s home on Christmas Day.
His wife sent us a message on Facebook today informing us what to bring. She suggested that maybe I could prepare fried rice.
I am still thinking about it because I am really not a good cook and I am afraid I might mess up. I’ve been cooking fried rice here at home, but it’s only the husband and my son who eats it. Even though it doesn’t taste good, they don’t have a choice, but to eat it. LOL.
I will ask my husband’s opinion about the suggestion once he gets home. For now, I will focus on checking for nursing uniforms for my brother. It is what he wants for Christmas so, I am going to give him his wish.
Smoked Turkey
The day before Thanksgiving, our neighbor surprised us by giving us a pack of this smoked turkey. We had it for dinner that night then, and I was surprised how good it smelled and how delicious it tasted. I am not fond of turkey, but this one tasted different. Maybe because it was smoked.
The cut was big and there's only three of us so we made two dinners out of it. We didn't have it for two consecutive nights though. We were afraid we'd start saying, "Gobble! Gobble!" if we'll do it. Hehe.

Combat Stress through Healthy Eating
- Fresh fruits and vegetables are a rich source of Vitamin C which is regarded as a good immune booster. Remember that once stress takes a toll on your body, you would need to replenish the lost vitamins and nutrients. Prepare meals that include green vegetables such as broccoli. Also, eat fruits at least once a day in order to keep your skin looking healthy.
- Omega 3-Fatty Acids are known to reduce the risk of getting a heart attack. Fish is one of its main sources. We all know that stress could cause such heart failure so one of the ways to prevent it is by including fish in your diet.
- Iron is very important for our body. Eat foods such as red meat, poultry, cereals and green vegetables in order to increase your iron intake.

Cute Caroling
Silver bars, silver bars. It’s Christmas time in the city. Ooops! Did I get that right? Isn’t it supposed to be “silver bells“? LOL. The three of us (my husband, my son and I) were singing Christmas carols last night while lying in bed before we finally dozed off. Silver bells was among the Christmas carols that we sang.
I’m trying to be cute today and made it silver bars instead after I read about them online. Not bad, huh? It still rhymes, doesn’t it? Teehee.
Oh boy, Christmas is really in the air and it’s filling me with so much joy. It’s my favorite time of the year!

My Hubby the Cook
I was reading about Houston web design when I smelt something cooking from the kitchen. I had to go out and see what it was. Well, it was my husband cooking his favorite five-cheese Texas toast for dinner. He always pairs it with his favorite soup.
I am still not hungry because I had my favorite noodle soup for snack, so I told him to eat first. Our son had his favorite corn dogs for dinner. I’ll grab me a bite as soon as my tummy needs to be fed. For now, I will continue my reading and learn.
