The Fun, and Taste, is in the Search

I am munching on these Korean mini cakes right now while browsing for hp laptops online. I guess that’s what you could call multi-tasking, huh? LOL. Mom was out of town the other day and brought home these yummy goodies. They are so tender and have different fillings you can choose from like chocolate, butter and cheese.

Being the chocolate person that I am, I would have wanted to eat all the cakes with chocolate fillings but unfortunately, I couldn’t tell which ones had chocolate fillings or not. But they’re all yummy though. I just get lucky if I pick the one with chocolate in it, and if it's not chocolate, oh well; whatever it may be, it's delish! I’ve already munched two of the chocolate variety. Wish me luck to find more. Hee hee.

Sweet Side Dish

Is there any other side dish that is much sweeter than sweet corn? Nada for me. I so love sweet corn and having it as side dish is really great. And this sweet corn is what my fiance' and his family had on Christmas Eve - just among the many foods that they had. His SIL is still the one responsible for this yummy side dish - the expert when it comes to the kitchen. Wish I can be like her. Well, someday, I hope. (",)

What A Mess!

The picture shows the burst water lines that welcomed my fiancé after several weeks of sub-freezing winter weather in his part of the world. It's spring there, now, and they were going to start up the air conditioning unit, but…this is what was discovered on the pre-start inspection. OOPS! These are the supply and return lines for the air conditioner and they basically exploded after the water froze and expanded the inside pipes. And with no water, no AC!

But knowing my fiancé and his colleagues to be always ready to rumble, they'll get it all repaired and good to go ASAP. But I sure hope he makes sure to wear his work gloves because I want him to keep his hands nice and soft for me...(",) But that won’t be the end of those dusty roads they face at the workplace; it's a never-ending battle of Man VS Machine. There will be more to come and that's what my fiancé optimistically calls job security.

Needed: The Best Hoster For Any Poster

Like most website owners, if not all, at times I have great difficulty deciding which web host to entrust my sites to. I own a few websites and though they are all personal blogs, still, having the best host is a must for my websites to be visible to the World Wide Web without having the associated problems one can sometimes encounter. Yes, problems can be part of it but as long as they're not of the major variety, they can be fixed with a little amount of time and effort if you have a reliable web host; if and reliable being the key words in that phrase.

Reading a web host review site like what Just Host offers helped me throughout the process of deciding which web host service to get. Web hosts are rated and reviewed at this site by individuals who have tried the services of a variety of hosts. The top ten hosts are ranked giving you an idea of which is the best of the best. This is the place to go if your goal is to find the most reliable and finest web host.

So, worry no more. If web hosting is what you’re looking for, browse Just Host and pick the web host that would suit you best. Best of luck and happy posting!

Baked and Topped

I really don't have an idea what this is called. Even my fiance' doesn't know. He just took a photo of it and enjoyed it. It was so delicious, as per him. Well, coming from his SIL who is an expert in the kitchen, that's undoubtedly yummy, I know. That is bread in there topped with bacon and cheese plus some seasoning and herbs, I guess and was baked. Maybe I'll just name this one "bread toppings." That will do. What do you think? Hehe.

No Hiding From Those Aggravating Phone Calls

I was reading about Mesothelioma Cancer and its causes due to my fiancé's line of work when the phone rang. I assumed it was my sister calling to check on her son Nikko who’s here with us because he’s sick, only to find out that it was once again a telemarketer from our phone provider asking if I wanted to avail myself of their latest promo. I answered an emphatic, “No thank you!” I’m already okay with the latest subscription we’ve got and, besides, many are the times that they offer you something for a so-called small price, only to eventually find out that it’s not that small at all, other than the small service they're offering. Oh well, I am already very familiar with how things go in that kind of business.

However, he persisted, but I stood my ground and persisted right back at him and he finally gave up and hung up. Those telemarketers can really be annoying, and they always seem to show up at the most inopportune time – like when you're very busy with something important and you have to run to the phone thinking that it might be another something important, only to find out that it’s them again, the annoying pests. Oh well, what can I say? Well, I can actually say this: When I finally get to go to my fiancé, my life will be free of those calls because they have a Do-Not-Call law in his country, and he put his number on the list to not receive such calls. What a relief that will be.

The Carolina Coast is Calling To Me

Even though there is still a long process before my fiancé and I will be together once again, even now he is already planning of where to take me and my son Yogi when we get there – places he loves to visit and places he’s never been to that he would love to see and share with Yogi and me. But amongst all of what he's spoken of, having one of those Outer Banks vacations is on the top of his list. He’s from North Carolina and that’s the nearest place he can take us to enjoy our first vacation of a lifetime as a family.

I first heard of the place from him and I browsed it instantly on the Net, and he’s right: the place is undoubtedly beautiful, and it's full of the early history of his home state, which he loves so much. The pictures say it all, don’t they? I’m already getting giddy with excitement by just looking at them. I can’t wait for the day when I get to experience the beauty of the place. Daydreaming now...(",)

Pasta Casserole

One thing that my BA and I have in common is that we're both pasta lovers. So, when he shared this photo with me, I can't help but wish that I've tasted this dish. This is just one of the many dishes that his SIL prepared on Christmas Eve. Yes, I'm still not done posting all the dishes she prepared and there's more to come.

BA is not sure about the name of this dish so he just named it a pasta casserole since it's baked. Looks yummy, huh? BA said it sure is yummy!

Gotcha, Sis! (",)

I dropped by at my sister’s office before I headed to my doctor's appointment this morning. She was all smiles when she saw me because she thought I had brought her something like I oft do. But I was in a hurry for my appointment so I brought her nada. She was whining in a joking way when I noticed the multiplying wrinkles around her eyes. She whined all the more when I told her about that, and hearing her like that made me tease even more. I’m such a big tease you know and, besides, what are li'l sisters for? (",)

But we turned serious afterward and talked about her wrinkles. She’s not getting any younger, so it’s inevitable. But I told her to check www.wrinkleeyecream.net for creams that she can use that would suit her needs. But being the busy bee that she always is, I do wonder if she’ll ever get the chance to check it out?

Well, Sis! If you don’t want me to tease you anymore about those age tracks on your face, then go check now! Move it! Move it! HEE-HEE-HEE!

Give Your Bones A Break; Not Literally, Though...(",)

I went out around 10 o’clock this morning and, boy, oh boy! The heat of the sun just hit me immediately and I felt like it penetrated deep down to the core of my bones. I wouldn't even have been going out if not for an appointment with my ob-gyn. The temperature was 32 degrees Celsius and that's way too hot for me. But I think older people are more thankful to the hot weather than I because when it's cold, old bones revolt. And when it is cold they may need the help of msm lotion for their aches and arthritis.

But my ordeal with the sun is now over and I’m now here at home, savoring the coolness of the A/C here in my dad’s home office. It is so cool here that my eyes are drooping and I want to go to sleep. I will do that later, once I’m finish mumbling here. Hee hee.

Feeling Down? Then Clean Up Your Act!

My aunt came in feeling feeble this morning. She had an upset stomach and muscle pains. Knowing her as we do, this is nothing new. She is really not healthy and at her age of 47, I think that this is a given, knowing her health history; she’s been like this since she was in her late 30’s. She can be picky when it comes to food, and we feel that her eating habits have a lot to do with her getting sick.

That being so, mom told her to try colon cleanse because it’s probably what she needs. Mom's used it several times and experienced great relief. It detoxifies, too, so Aunty has nothing to lose, other than a little money from her pocket, with much to be gained for the small expense. Seriously, I hope she’ll try it; it would be for her own good. But she can be stubborn, you know. Ooops! I hope she won’t be reading this. LOL.

Your Loss Will Be Your Gain

Just look at these sweets! They don’t just look yummy but they're oh so very cute too. See those snowmen made from marshmallows? How about those chocolates with nuts, and those gingerman cookies? I was really delighted when my fiancé shared this photo with me. His sister-in-law prepared these goodies for their family get together on Christmas Eve. And as per my fiancé, she’s not just a good cook, but very creative too. And these masterpieces are just a case in point.

I can’t wait to meet her and learn her recipes and secrets of cooking. Then by the time I master them, my fiancé, who will by then be my hubby, will probably be needing the best weight loss pills he can get his hands on because it is my goal to fatten him up just a li'l bit since he's so skinny. What do you think, Honey? HEE-HEE-HEE.

The Snacks During the Match

While all of us were busy watching the bout between Pacquiao and Clottey on PPV yesterday, our mouths were busy munching on these goodies from Dunkin' Donuts too. There were lotsa doughnuts and lotsa brownies for the family to share and mom's friends who watched the bout with us. Dad's friends were also here but knowing men, they are not into sweets and they would rather settle for a bottle of beer, rum and brandy plus nuts to pair it with.

Two boxes of doughnuts and two boxes of brownies. I wonder where the other box of brownies went. Hee hee.

He's A Fix-it-up Go Getter!

When my fiancé and I talk, the topic goes to just about anything. But lately, our topic has been in regard to the renovation that he is planning for his house. He wants to renovate it in preparation for our upcoming arrival. The renovation will not take long since there is just a little to be done like repainting the whole house, changing the floor and carpets, changing the exterior shutters and putting a new roof on the back and front decks. Well...maybe that is more than "just a little", but it won’t take him too much time since his stepson and daughter will be helping him.

He’ll be starting the renovation pretty soon and he's anxious to get started and "Get 'er done!", as he puts it. I can’t wait myself to see the newly renovated house; a house "Fit for my Anghel" to land at, as he likes to say. (“,)

SUV = Super Useful Vehicle!

I’ve always preferred an SUV and have great hopes to purchase one in the near future. But it's still a dream for now since I have more pressing priorities and needs at the moment, but I know in time that the dream will come true. What I like about SUVs are the roomy and spacious features. There's so much space in one that you can haul almost anything and everything you want to and still have room left over.

There are a lot of SUVs on the market but I like the bigger ones like the Ford expedition or the chevy suburban. The latter one has fantastic towing capabilities. Yes, a Chevy Suburban can tow four tons. Imagine that! Not only is it a vehicle of style and comfort, but it can be utilized as a towing machine too. It’s an “all in one” SUV!

There a lot of things to consider when buying a vehicle and comfort is among them, not to mention the looks too. With a Chevy suburban, you’ve got it all, and more.

I do wonder, though, when I’ll finally be able to put my hands on the steering wheel of my new Chevy Suburban for the first time. The thought makes me excited and giddy with anticipation!

Coated Mushrooms

I'm not really into mushrooms or maybe I should say, I don't like mushrooms at all. Well, depends actually on the way it was cooked or used as toppings like those in pizzas. And maybe this one in the photo too. That's coated mushrooms - one of the many delish dishes that my BA's SIL served on Christmas Eve. That looks really yummy, huh? Maybe I can have a bite of that one soon. Hmmm...perhaps!

I'm A Busy Li'l Bee!

It’s been like almost a year now since I’ve set my fingers on my office’s keyboard. I haven’t heard from my employer since they had problems with their clients in the US, and me and my colleagues have figured that they probably haven’t settled that and there’s most likely no chance for us to ever be able to return to work there.

My colleagues have already found their new niche in life, and I did find mine, as well – being dad’s secretary for his construction business. But there were times that I thought of taking another course to learn more, and to prepare for that I might need to take one of those sat prep courses. Taking a culinary course also went through my mind but I don’t think I’d be able to squeeze it all into my busy schedule seeing that I'm also a mom. I'll just have to be patient for it yet remains to be seen what adventures lie ahead.

Dreams Won't Die As Long As You Still Breathe

When I was still in high school, my goal was to take up interior designing in college. I’ve always loved to design things in the house, re-arrange the furniture, add ornaments everywhere, and so on and so on. But it didn’t materialize for one reason: the course was not offered in our universities here. And I wasn’t allowed to study outside of the city, so that was it; a done deal, or more so, an undone deal.

But even though I didn’t get a degree in that dream course of mine, still, I was able to accomplish a part of it in a way since I get to decorate my own house myself and arrange it the way I want it, and so far, everyone likes it. I get ideas from shows, magazines and by browsing online. And hopefully, one day, I'll get to design furniture myself. That would really be a great achievement and a dream come true!

Laughter is the Bestest of Medicines!

A good friend of mine really gave me a great laugh earlier. He was in his usual state of insanity, but not seriously insane; just wacko insane. But I do call him that whenever he kids around a lot: insane! He has a great sense of humor and he never fails to give me a good laugh when he talks about silly and nonsensical stuff. But it's all done in good fun and friendship.

He was in the mood of having a Q&A (question and answer) game. He bombarded me with questions including does enzyte work, does orexis work, etc. etc. He was going so fast that I even didn’t get the chance to answer any of them. But I did tell him one thing: “You are barking at the wrong tree, buddy. Should you not be the one answering those questions since you use the stuff and I don't even know what you're talking about?” He found that as funny as what he was trying to pull on me. What a day!

Yummy Yummy, I See A Big Angel Tummy in the Future!

See that plate full of good food? That was my fiancés plate of yummy goodies on Christmas Eve. His plate is always that full. Oops, sorry for divulging your secret, Honey! LOL. And even though he's so slender and trim, if he continues to eat like that, he’ll probably be needing the help of a phentermine diet pill pretty soon. We never really know, but, want to bet he'll definitely be gaining weight when we're married and I start cooking for him everyday? Hee hee.

And I Thought It Was Just Guys that Wouldn't Go To the Doctor!

After days of contemplating and putting it off, I finally went to see my doctor today. But it wasn't about my adult acne that I had few days ago because it wasn't my dermatologist I visited, but my ob-gyn. I had reasons why I didn’t get an appointment with her sooner which, now, after the fact, I realize I should have went sooner. Anyhow, she enlightened me and I’m good to go now.

I’ll go back for a follow-up check in a couple of weeks, and after that maybe I'll share with you what the visit was all about. It still depends though actually; we’ll see. (“,)

The Bug Bugged Out!

My fiancé was complaining of an upset stomach the other day, which was odd for he is rarely sick. And he's not the type to skips meals but he didn't even feel like eating, and that truly is strange because I know what an appetite he has and how much he loves food. I mentioned that he might have an ulcer, acid reflux, or gastritis, but he said that wasn't it. He figured he'd probably just caught a bug, or had maybe chowed down on some bad food that day. I suggested that maybe he needed to look into a colon cleanse detox. He said he'd take it under consideration but he decided to leave things as they were since the pain was still tolerable.

Gladly, he felt better when he awoke the next morning. That bug must have taken another course, realizing that he was in the wrong territory trying to mess with a tough guy. LOL

Oh Those Raging Hormones! But It Goes With the Territory

Apart from the discomfort every woman feels during her monthly cycle, acne breakouts are one common problem that we encounter during those times. I just had my time, and two pimples erupted on my right cheek. They were so prominent and noticeable that it made me afraid to go out in public for fear of being teased because, lets face it, I'm no longer a teenager. They were a little itchy, but it didn’t really bother me that much. Aside from the fact that I’m used to having them during my curse, I know they will disappear in time.

Besides, I do feel lucky because there are some girls who have had lifelong problems with acne. I’m so glad that my issues only occur during my cycles. For that, I am so thankful. But, there is a price to be paid for being a woman; however, there are also many joys one receives for being one of the fairer gender, and I have been blessed with many of them. (",)

My Footsies Are Itchy For Some New Friends!

Women are undoubtedly shoe lovers, and that being so, shoes are among the many things that I love to browse online. Being the bargain hunter that I am, I'm always in search of great deals. But I must admit, those high-dollar brand name shoes sure do make me drool. These from Christian Louboutin are just so lovely, and how I wish I could get a pair of them, as in PRONTO! But, oh well; my budget at the moment does not allow me to indulge in this very chic pair.

But as I’ve said, I am a shoe lover, and a go-getter, too, so saving for these is my next goal to reach. I like the sound of that idea, so let's go get 'em girl!
