First Meal

With my BA, that is. It was around 2 o'clock in the afternoon then of Sunday and he haven't grabbed a bite and only had a few cups of coffee because he was waiting for me. I still attended a christening and was able to meet him at the hotel he was staying right after we had lunch. I was stuffed so i only had a glass of Avocado shake and the food below were the food he had. Obviously, you can tell what nationality he has with the food he got, huh? Hehe.

This was only the first meal we shared. There's still a lot to share here and i'll do share them all soon. (",)

French Fries and Hotdog with Mustard

Another Bonding Moment With Son

Yesterday was another bonding moment for my son Yogi and I. He had his follow-up checkup with his doctor late in the morning and we headed to the mall afterwards. It was already way past lunch when we arrived at the mall so having our tummy filled was our first agenda. We had our favorite pasta once again at our favorite pizza restaurant and as expected, the restaurant was jam-packed with pasta lovers again. It’s always like that in there and aside from the sound of the music playing; you can hear different stories from nearby tables. I even over heard a group of plus-size women talking about the best weight loss pills to hit the market, a group of teens talking about the latest sci-fi movie that is being shown, etc. Yogi and I were so hungry that we didn’t talk much and just concentrated on the food. HeHe.

There's Yogi enjoying his Tacos and Baked Mac. I had Tacos too plus Lasagna and Brownies. We had Iced Tea to pair it all with.

Cooked Ham

My parents are not so into ham so we seldom have one not unless there's a special occasion or i would go out my way to buy one myself. During my son's school's nutrition month celebration, they were asked to bring ham plus mayonnaise, cheese and bread. They were taught how to make ham sandwich and these pieces here were his leftovers. So, i fried it and it's what we had for breakfast that day. Yum!

Home For An Angel's Gifts

My Big Angel sent me another batch of CDs that he recorded himself. The CDs were a compilation of different songs from different genres, eras and artists. Some are his favorites and some are mine. Such a sweet gesture, huh? I already got a bunch of CDs from him and he said I’ll get more soon. Hmmm, by that time I’ll probably be needing a CD rack or a CD floor display. And if ever, I’d choose a cardboard display, creatively made like the one you see in the picture. I’ve got enough room for it in my bedroom so no problem.

I do wonder though if it will hold all the CDs my Big Angel will send me the next time he thinks of doing it again. If it won’t, then, I’ll purchase another one. Problem solved!

Got Fat? Shed It, and Forget It!

It was a few years back when diet pills became such a hit that whenever I flipped through magazines, different brands were advertised on almost every page. Since then, diet pills have been the choice of many, especially to those who wanted to shed excess pounds the fastest and easiest way. At present, more diet pills have emerged in the market, zyatonix included.

I’ve actually known a few people who have tried diet pills and were happy with the outcome. I haven’t tried any since I’ve always been skinny. Perhaps in the future, though, if I gain weight, that is. That remains to be seen.

Fruit Display

Very creatively arranged, isn't it? The fruits were displayed during the Culmination Day of Montessori School's Nutrition Month celebration in July. Every grade level had fruit displays in their classrooms and this was for the Grade 1. We won the contest for having the nicest fruit display. Well, there's no doubt about it, right?

Yummy fruits!

One mom was responsible for this and take a look on how she turned the pineapple into a chicken. Very nice!

Mom's Looking Good, and Healthy

It was two years ago when mom was on a strict diet because of her diabetes. Aside from the prescription given to her, she was also advised by her doctor to seek diet help from a professional dietitian. She did oblige everything that was asked of her, but apart from that, mom was also taking this diet formula plus other capsules like fat burner, fiber-rich, energy booster and more.

I was hesitant of the products at first until I saw the results on mom. For those who go on a diet and have drastic weight changes, the result can be not good and it will show on the person’s face. But with mom, it was different. Nothing much changed on her except a gradual loss of body weight, and I wasn’t the only one who noticed it but her friends did so, as well.

Keep Carbs Closer

Give your eating habits a welcome change and show carbs some love. We tell you why they're good for you and how to enjoy them the right way.

Have Your Fill. Complex carbohydrates found in grains, beans, veggies, and fruits, are all high in fiber. Filling up on these foods is actually an effective method of losing weight, as fiber-rich foods cleanse the body, make you feel full, and quiet your cravings. Try this: Eat at least three cups of raw veggie salad before proceeding to your main entree. You'll immediately feel full, and be able to enjoy a smaller serving of the main course.

Hold The Salt. You can have more rice as long as you regulate your sodium intake. Like sugar, sodium is a powerful appetite stimulant. Limiting your sodium intake will make you appreciate the natural taste of food - as a result, you'll enjoy and be satisfied with consuming only moderate portions. So, enjoy your carbs' natural flavor, and skip adding bloat-causing salt.

Opt For Organic. Go for gold by making sure that the rice you eat is brown and organic. Research has shown that organic foods contain higher levels of nutrients, vitamin C, and antioxidants - everything to improve you immunity. And, brown rice has more fiber, aiding your digestive system and filling you up more quickly.

Catch the Final Carisma of Summer

Summer is almost over in the Northern Hemisphere, but that doesn’t mean it’s the end of having that ultimate vacation that most probably everyone is dying to have, me included. What I consider ultimate is having a vacation in a hotel that has an ocean view where I'll not only enjoy the scenery, but then go out to the beaches and become part of the view. And when I think of that scenario, there’s only one place that comes to mind: Mexico.

One known hotel and resort that would give you the ultimate family vacation that you've dreamed of is Karisma Hotels and Resorts. They offer excellent service, sumptuous food, great amenities; you name it, they will provide it. So have that dream vacation of yours and remember the name that speaks of dreams come true.

I Gained Much-Needed Weight

If there’s one thing that my friends and family have noticed about me lately, it’s my weight gain. I’ve been wanting to gain weight, and now that I’ve reached my goal, I’m more than satisfied. But I need to watch my diet too, because there's such a thing as too much of a good thing. I don’t want to gain more than I already have. I'm at the perfect weight for my height, and if I gain more, in due time I’d probably need diet pills like Solo Slim.

But I'm sure you know how a good appetite can ruin your diet, especially if sumptuous foods are served. I’m trying to get smaller servings nowadays because, as I’ve said, I don’t want to gain more weight. I don’t want to end up becoming a plump li'l pumpkin in the future. But family gatherings have been happening constantly lately, with more to come very soon, and of course, lots of foods are present, as expected. I just have to be careful with the food I stuff myself with. But not to worry: I’m focused when it comes to that. And if I get a little carried away, I know there’ll be diet pills to the rescue.
