My New and Revamped Stamps

It’s Tuesday and I’ve been in the real world since yesterday after having had a lazy Sunday. I’ve been sorting things out in our little home office all day yesterday and today. I’m in the process of putting numbers on the new purchase orders that were generated last week. Dad provided me with a new set of custom rubber stamps after the old ones disappeared. I have no idea whatsoever where our original ones got to. But you know how it is, some things get misplaced, or borrowed and never returned. And seldom do you know who misplaced or borrowed.

Oh well, no worries now since I have my new set. So I’d best get with it and start moving before Dad asks me if I’ve got it all done. I’ve got to go and start putting numbers on those POs using my new numbering machine like what you see in the picture because one must keep the boss man happy, especially if the boss is your Dad. After waiting for months, I finally got to see the movie “Twilight”. I was unable to see it on the big screen when it first came out because by the time my girlfriend and I decided to take a peek at it, it was already gone. Those Immortals in the movie were really awesome, other than the bad ones, that is, who were truly evil. And that’s just like life: good and bad. Also such as life, there was also the magic of love between some of the characters. But the idea of being immortal, just like the movie, is a fantasy. Culmination Day Potluck

These are just some of the food that the parents and kids shared on Montessori School's Summer Workshop Culmination Day. We've decided to have a potluck and i brought the cake which you can see in the middle photo. There were still a lot of food but i was anxious to take more photos 'coz they might wonder why i was doing it. Hee hee. I didn't eat much though. It was still 11am when we started eating and i figured it was way to early for lunch yet so i just had a slice of cake. Yogi was busy playing and only had a slice of fried chicken. We had lunch at home.

The Book that Kept Me Company

Yesterday was my son Yogi’s Summer Workshop Culmination Day. I’m so glad that it’s finally over because it’s been a very tiring month and kind of boring for me. I had to stay at the school each day for two hours, waiting for classes to finish. I had an option of leaving Yogi there and pick him up after classes, but I chose to stay and wait. I’m glad I had this book to keep me company for those two hours that I spent there everyday: “The Golden Apples of the Sun” by Ray Bradbury – a gift from a dear friend. It’s composed of different short stories’ some of which I found kind of peculiar. But nevertheless, I finished it the day before summer classes ended.

The Culmination Day yesterday was a blast. The kids showed off their talents, had fun playing and we all shared a sumptuous potluck afterward. I figure I’ve been doing a lot of eating lately. Delicious Fiesta Food

Our subdivision celebrates its Patronal Fiesta every last Saturday of April and this year, we had it on the 25th of April. I was actually the one who chose the dishes and we had, Diced Vegetables, Breaded Malasugue, Pork Steak and Chicken Cordon Bleu which was not included in the picture because it's already nowhere of site when i remembered to take photos. LOL. We had water melon for dessert and we all enjoyed the food. Yum!

One Serendipitous Moment with the Girls

This meeting was not planned at all; it was one of those purely serendipitous moments that make life such a joy.

It had been a long day for Elsie (in stripes) and I since that was the day when we did our best to meet the deadline of that important thing of which I talked about before. After having accomplished our mission, we thought of treating ourselves with a snack at our fave pizza resto. We were halfway through eating our snacks, which were composed of Baked Mac and Tacos, when Judy (in red) passed by unexpectedly. I called to her at once, and in a few minutes, Mimi (in yellow) and Lottie (in gray) followed. That was really unexpected, which made the meeting all the more exciting. They ordered what we ordered and, as usual, we talked like we've never talked before.

Our topics covered the entire gamut of lady things - from the issues with our previous employer, to food, clothes, beauty products, etc, etc. And of course, of the beauty products; we even talked about wrinkle creams and thought of checking out the best wrinkle cream to hit the market. A Dinner Fit For The King Of The Family!

This is the food that we had on Dad’s 63rd birthday. It was not something extravagant. It was just a simple dinner, but the most important thing is that we all enjoyed it. This is the kind of food that will give you an appetite and will make you want to keep on eating and eating. We had grilled Tuna belly, grilled pork, radish and cucumber salad, and Cassava Cake for dessert. It was not only yummy, but really-tasty yummy!

We all got so full, and afterwards our bulging tummies were the evidence. LOL. And what did we do about it? We just laughed it off. We had a good laugh actually. I talked about my bro's engagement party before and of course, a party won't be complete without the food for everyone to share. And here's what we had. I wasn't able to take a shot of the food on the table because of hunger. LOL. Yeah, it was already in my plan before the party started but it totally slipped off my mind. Blame that on my rumbling tummy. LOL. But gladly, i remembered to take a shot while munching on my favorite Lumpiang Shanghai.
