Light Up Your Holiday

As promised, here are the other goodies that my fiancé’ and his family feasted on on Thanksgiving Day. Aside from the baked turkey which I posted here previously, the menu included the following: baked ham; mashed potatoes; fresh green beans and creamed corn; macaroni and cheese; and what Thanksgiving feast would be complete without cornbread stuffing, gravy and homemade biscuits, a southern-mountain tradition in the US. Of course, there was also cranberry sauce and assorted desserts of pecan pie, cakes and some yummy-yummy cheese cake hors d oeuvres. They enjoyed good food and family bonding on a cool autumn evening at his brother’s dining table with a Hubberton Forge chandelier illuminating their repast. It’s definitely a site to behold. I wish I could have been there to celebrate with my fiancé, but hopefully come next year I’ll be there to share the experience. Fingers crossed again!

But just look at that mouth-watering food. I so love mashed potatoes, which my fiancé and I have in common, and just looking at them makes me drool. Oh well, patience Lynndee. You’ll soon have your truckloads of all kinds kinds of taters, mashed, fried, and otherwise, some of which will be personally prepared by your fiancé, or Big Angel. Isn’t that sweet? (“,)
