I was so engrossed reading the book “Eclipse” from the Twilight Saga last night, but the headline news never fails to catch my attention. It was the thing about drug addiction again. What saddens me is the minors who are caught up into and trapped by that demon. There could have been a good future ahead for them, but because of drugs their lives have been totally ruined. Not just theirs, but their families as well. I know drug rehab can help them get back to the normal life they once had, but just the same, a lot of people have already been affected.
That is why sometimes watching the news is not in my priorities. The same news about drugs over and over, and all the other different crimes, can be annoying, if not irritating, at times. I wonder what the government is doing to put an end to these problems? There should be a solution for these issues. I do believe proper education could be of a great help. It’s one important tool to help an individual be as knowledgeable as he can be, but unfortunately, not all can afford to send themselves to school and I really hope the government will look into that and offer some constructive, progressive help.
It's really saddening to hear stories about minors being engaged in drug trafficking or drug addiction. The future holds so much and for them to waste it because of drugs is really depressing. Proper education is indeed a great help in solving the drug-related problems. Hopefully, more and more youth are educated about the effects of such drugs to them and their future.
