Dizziness and Vertigo

It was last week when i felt dizzy for like two days. I was having stomach upset during that time and i was thinking that maybe that's the culprit behind it. But i was also thinking that maybe because i was stressed out. Been busy since classes started and i don't have no one to give me a hand here since Mom's on vacation. Anyway, whenever i feel something bad, i check on this medical book right away. And yes, i checked about dizziness and here's the information i've got. Read on.

Dizziness is a word that is often used to describe two different sensations: lightheadedness and vertigo. It is important to know exactly what you mean when you say, "I feel dizzy," because it can help you and your health professional narrow down the list of possible problems.

Lightheadedness is a feeling that you are about to pass out (faint). Although you may feel unsteady, there is no sensation of movement. Lightheadedness usually goes away or improves when you lie down. If lightheadedness gets worse, it can lead to a fainting spell with nausea and vomiting.

Vertigo is a sensation that your body of the world around you is spinning or moving. Vertigo is usually related to inner ear problems. It may occur with nausea and vomiting. It may be impossible to walk when you have severe vertigo.
After reading it, i knew then what i had was lightheadedness. But i'm a-ok now and i know there's nothing to worry about. (",)

I had a professor who experience a very severe case of vertigo that she had to miss two weeks of classes. Too bad I like her class (Literature).

Hope you're doing better now. Take extra care of yourself. :)
