I was supposed to order one yesterday since it's our Patronal Fiesta here in the Subdivision but Mom doesn't want me to. Teas that Bloom: A Unique Mother's Day Gift

Mother’s day is just around the corner. Perhaps all of us are already thinking of a gift to give our moms. Tuna Sashimi

Let's go Japanese this time. I'm not a Japanese food person though. This is the only raw food that i eat and is addicted to. We usually have this whenever we have parties here at home. We dip it in Wasabi mixed with Kikkoman soy sauce and that's it. Yummy! Our city being the Tuna Capital of the Philippines, so we get to have Tuna anytime, anywhere at reasonable prices. Ice Cream: Cookies n' Cream

How's that for this very hot season? Looks yummy and mouth-watering, huh? This is one of my favorite flavors when it comes to ice cream. Whenever i buy ice cream, it's only this or if not, Double Dutch. I haven't had ice cream for a while now. Let me get one soon.

I love Pizza!

Whenever i am out with this friend of mine, no doubt our first destination at the mall would be Greenwich because we both love pasta and pizza. It's either we will order lasagna, pizza or spaghetti. We got the chance to bond again this afternoon and as expected, Greenwich is where we went first. As usual we ordered pizza and spaghetti. It has been a while since i got a bite. Glad i had one again earlier. Yummy!

Godiva

How's that? Does it look tempting and mouth-watering? It sure does. Whenever i talk to this friend of mine, Godiva is always part of the conversation. What can i say? We both love chocolates and this is definitely one of our favorites. She was actually thinking of sending me some soon. She's in the States so i would probably get it ten years from now. Hehe. Just kidding. I know she will keep her words. I can hardly wait to have it. Yum!

Hearty Breakfast!

It has been a while now that i was craving for "beefsilog" or beef tapa with sinangag (fried rice) and itlog (fried egg). Glad mom bought beef tapa yesterday. I was really happy when i found out. Just watching the beef tapa yesterday make me want to grab it right then and there. Good thing i was able to control my cravings and was able to wait until this morning. It was such a hearty breakfast i had earlier. Wish i can have another one tomorrow. Hehe.

Tips to Make Your Time in the Kitchen as Easy as Possible

1) If a soup or stew is too salty, add raw potato chunks. Discard them after they have cooked - they will have absorbed the salt.

2) Can't remember if an egg is fresh or hard-boiled? Just spin the egg. If it wobbles, it's raw. If it spins easily, it's hard-boiled.

3) To avoid crying while peeling onions, peel them under cold water.

4) To perk up soggy lettuce, add lemon juice to a bowl of cold water and soak lettuce for an hour in the refrigerator.

5) When cooking carrots, peas, or corn, add a small amount of sugar to the water to keep the flavor.

6) To keep sweet corn yellow, add one teaspoon of lemon juice to the cooking water just about a minute before turning off the stove. Also, never salt the water you cook corn in. It will toughen the corn.

It's hot so we need something cool and whenever we think of such, halo-halo is the first thing that comes to mind. You think so? My favorite halo-halo is that of Chowking. It's simply the best. I've always been a chocolate person. When it comes to pastries, cakes, desserts, drinks, etc., chocolate will always be my choice. I've got this as a gift from my dear cousin, Prily. Fish Cutlet Sweet and Sour
