Or better known as tidbits, dainties or sweetmeats are one of the many foods that never missed to be in our table whenever there's an occasion here at home. This is one of those desserts that Mom really likes. Among the kakanin, palitaw (rice cake) and maja blance are my favorites. I love the palitaw a lot especially when there's a lot of sugar in it. I missed kakanin since the last time we had one was on All Soul's Day which was when this picture was taken. Mom used to cook maja blanca and it's really delicious. I wonder when will Mom cook maja blanca again.

My dear, my dear. nakakaluka imong kakanin.. gigutum noon kog samot ug gimingaw sa imong picture dre oi.. nayati nas kirat.. i miss all those kakanin.. wish i can make one here... labi na biko... sige lang ask nko akong ante unsaon pagluto...
