Cold season is here and when this time comes, certain illnesses also occur. One of which is Flu. A lot of people, adults and kids alike could be affected and my 5-year-old son, Yogi was among those who were not spared from the said illness. He is okay now though after a week of being sick. My niece came next. I wonder who'll be next in line. I just hope no one will. Anyways, here's how to prevent Flu that i got from a book. Read on...
1) Get a flu shot each autumn if you are over 65; if you have a chronic illness, such as asthma, heart disease, or diabetes; if you live in a nursing home; or if you are a health care worker.
2) Consider annual flu shots if you or your family members are likely to be exposed to the disease through work or by being around other children, or if you just want to reduce the chance that you and your family will catch the disease. The vaccine can be given to anyone over 6 months of age.
3) Keep up your resistance to infection by eating a healthy diet, getting plenty of rest, and exercising regularly.
4) Avoid exposure to the flu virus. Wash you hands often and keep your hands away from your nose, eyes, and mouth.
5) Stop smoking.

Thanks for the great post, I started my career in nursing after finishing a associate degree in nursing from
associate degree nursing schools
Nice post.. thanks for the informations... i just chatted with my SIL in Gensan and told me that my nephew got a high fever since Thursday, Manila Time due to his tonsilitis and he really had a chill she got panic since my brother was in Zamboanga until now.
for sure the flu season is pretty much common..
and i'm thankful that inspite of the different temperature here. I'm thanking God and God's forbid wa jud ko masakit...allergy like sneezing lang pud i can deal with that, pero flu? manawag jud kog mama.. hehehehe...
hope Yogi will get well soon!
well i hope the flu won't hit you. hubby told me that it took him 2 weeks to really fully recover from flu but since i arrived here, he didn't get sick for 2 weeks anymore. he might had the flu again now that im already here but i think the chicken soup that i cook everytime he felt sick helped him recover so quickly. :)
I just got hit last week especially that the kid i tutor, he had a flu, then in the office, people are sneezing as well and last Sunday, i got snow all over my head so i guess i had no way to escape... sigh...
Great read.. we are a house full of the flu right now, three kids and myself. The only point of yours I do disagree with is getting the flu shot. They give you the flu to build up your antibodies, but unless that shot has every different type of flu strain out there in it, every year you are still able to catch it.
Simply my opinion on it though..lol
