Back Pain

I've been suffering from back pain for like three days now. The pain radiates from my neck down to my left upper back. I have this feeling that it's probably because of my too much sitting in front of the pc or if not, my sleeping position was the culprit. I must admit, i've been spending a lot of time in the pc lately. I'm glued to my seat for five hours straight most of the time. Imagine that? There were actually times that i had taken meals late because of this blogging stuff. That's how addicted i am. Lol.

Anyways, i was reading this health book last night about back pain 'cause eventhough i was thinking that too much sitting and my sleeping position were the reasons behind this pain but still it worries me that there could be something serious behind it. And here's what i've got...

Although back and neck pains are usually preventable, most of us will suffer from one or both at some time in our lives. Fortunately, 9 out of 10 acute back injuries will heal on their own within 6 to 12 weeks.

Your back includes the area from below your neck to your tailbone. It is composed of the bones of the spine; the joints that guide the direction of movement of the spine; the discs that separate the bones of the spine and absorb shock as you move; and the muscles and ligaments that hold them all together. One or more of these structures can be stressed, causing pain.
I'm observing the pain now and if it gets worse, then i think it would be best to seek for medical help.

Maybe you need time to relax. I also have the same problem if I spend too much time in front of the computer or due to my sleeping position. And whenever I have body pain I always want to have a full body massage. I'm sure there are massage parlors around in your area. An hour of body massage will make you feel good and maybe better. :)

Sounds like a good plan. I always try to 'wait it out' and see if it relieves itself before heading to the doc! Thanks for checking out my blog and commenting! Hope your back feels better soon!

So sorry your back is hurting! I've dealt with back pain for many many years now. Sitting in the computer chair for a long time can definitely aggravate the problem. Maybe a couple days of being careful not to sit too long will help you.

If not, let me suggest that you go see a chiropractor before seeking the opinion of an MD. Often, back pain (even shoulder, elbow, hip, and knee pain!) is caused by vertebrae being misaligned. A good chiropractor can work wonders.
