Let Your Child Grow. Let Him Go.

I came across this article in this mag and being a Mom with a pre-schooler, this is really something to ponder. This is really interesting. Here, let me share this with you.

If a child isn't good in match, it doesn't mean that he's not smart; he may be socially intelligent instead.

Three Areas of Development
Each child has three domains of development - physical, cognitive, and socio-emotional. The goal of education, at home and in school, should be equally nurture all areas. This is where exposure, exploration and experience come in.

Expose
Provide your pre-schooler with a safe and stimulating environment in which to play. Expose him to a variety of age-appropriate materials rich in texture and color. As he physically manipulates these toys, he also learns concepts such as shape, size and number.

Explore
Let him engage in free play with sand or play dough to develop his fine motor skills. Don't direct him as he explores with these materials - sit back and you'll discover just how creative he is!

Experience
Learning doesn't take place only in the classroom. So invite a few kids and let them play in the sandbox, the park, or the beach. This will also help your child learn important social skills such as sharing and waiting for his turn.

Expose your child to a safe, healthy and stimulating environment so that he can explore freely and experience the world around him. Give him all the chances to succeed.
